It has been a great start to the first week! I am looking forward to having a great year together! This week we have been focusing on getting to know each other and learning the classroom procedures. Next week the students will be starting a normal routine and having homework everyday Monday-Thursday. This week the students have been required to read 20 minutes nightly for homework and are expected to turn in their reading log completed Friday morning with a parent signature (this will be apart of their homework every week). Also, we have been really working hard in class and I have been rewarding the students with ClassDojo! On meet the teacher night I included a paper explaining how at home you can access ClassDojo to check in on the behavior with your child. If you misplaced the paper or need more instructions on how to login please reach out if you have any questions!
A message from Mrs. Coleman: "Hello ALA families, one of our every own parents is doing a fundraiser to help raise money for our school. All funds raised in the fundraiser stay here at ALA-Mesa. We are in need of a shade for the play ground and also some picnic tables. Please visitwww.bato100.com to donate. It's a very easy to process, by pledging only .10 cents a hole, after the 100 holes are completed you will be donating $10. Every bit counts." I am so excited to start this new year with all of you! The summer seems to just be flying by, we will be back in class in a little less than a week! Meet the Teacher will be this Thursday, August 4th, from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. Please feel free to bring your student's supplies then to lighten the load for the first day. If you do bring in your child's supplies, please be sure to write their name on everything with permanent marker. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all on August 4th!
